Le Carreau is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux. Everything was absolutely perfect. A sincere, beautiful place to dine in the city. A great starts for our vacation. The food was delicious! I recommend to try the steaks which are served with smashed potatoes, salad and french fries.

We bumped into Le Carreau by chance and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The braised beef cheeks with smashed potatoes and truffle is a must.
As many restaurants in Bordeaux, they have an extensive selection of local wines and also some from abroad.
Highly recommended.

Generous portions, with grilled entrecote you get fries, puree, salad, onions and bearnaise sauce. Meat was mostly cooked well with a smokey flavor from the grill, though an uneven portion of the meat was rather tough and raw which was unfortunate
Red wine by the glass/verre was delicious. Creme brulee was lovely as well. Service was attentive, kind, and english speaking
Would highly recommend Le Carreau. I was recommended myself this place by LOLA boutique hotel. Upon arriving i asked for recommendations for food and wine and it was absolutely gorgeous! The staff are lovely and friendly. The restaurant itself is good-vibed with a hint of sexy! ❤
Excellent dinner and very kind waitress. She spoke English and pointed out specialities of the House. We had a pork cut, pasta with juice ham bits in a truffle cheese sauce, crispy salmon wrapped in pastry with greens, and breaded cod. Profiteroles were great. Ingredients and cooking skill top notch.

The Cote du Beauf is a must....nicely prepared to the correct doneness. If the four of us could have a larger appetite, I'd sure order another of this 1.2kg beauty....alas, it will hv to be next time
The braise beauf cheek with Foie Gras is exquisitely done....tender yet structured, aplomb with flavours of a full-blooded brovine
A pretty large selection of wines, with the ups of an Imperial size (6 litres) Chateau Margeau.
Not the warmest when it comes to service, but sufficiently so; after all, the main focus is the food, since we don't expect a Michelin service standard.
Reasonable pricing and a very high quality-to-price ratio.
good wine! steak is very tender and delicious. I also enjoys the grilled mini squids a lot
